Mabel Makun, the wife of popular comedian AY Makun, has confirmed reports of her marriage crash.

She took to social media to send a cryptic statement amid continuous rumours concerning their marriage.

This came only hours after AY Makun openly discussed their supposed marital problems.

Earlier this year, the couple was the subject of much conjecture about their relationship status.

The accusations gathered traction after Mabel Makun expressed anxiety about threats to her life and unfollowed her husband on Instagram.

In a recent development, AY Makun appeared to corroborate the reports about their breakup.

He publicly admitted his flaws, admitting to causing harm to a relationship and a marriage that had lasted two decades.

Mabel Makun responded to her husband’s insults by posting a telling footage on her Instagram page.

The footage sent a clear message about her position on the topic of respect in partnerships.

Mabel includes the following statement:

“Distance is my new response to disrespect. I don’t react. I don’t argue, I don’t dive into the drama. I simply remove myself.”

In other news, Nigerian actress, Dayo Amusa has opened up that although she’s an independent woman, she still needs love and affection.

The movie star, who keeps her love life secret, added that she is presently independent because she accepts responsibility for her life and refuses to play the blame game with anybody or make people her scapegoat for her mistakes.

She remarked that she does not let her culture or religion define her. According to her, just because she is a woman does not imply that she is less beautiful than a guy, and her skin tone does not diminish her beauty.

Dayo stated that she is free to pick her companions, views, system, and standards based on what she believes is best for her. She stated that she can stand on her own if necessary, but she does not brag about it or make others feel small because they are unable to be independent.

Dayo, on the other hand, made it clear that being independent does not imply that she does not need love, that she enjoys going home alone, despises men, or is unable to submit. She went on to say that she wants to be cared for and pampered by her spouse, as well as having doors opened for her, being treated to dinner, and being protected and covered.

She wrote:

“I am independent because I take responsibility for my life. I refuse to play the blame game on anyone or make other people scapegoats for my failures.

I do not allow the culture or religion to define me. Just because I am a woman doesn’t mean I am less than a man. Just because my skin may be darker or lighter than someone else’s doesn’t make me any less beautiful.

I am empowered to choose my companions, belief system & standards, based on what I feel is right for me. I can stand on my own if need be, but I do not boast about it or make others feel small just because they can’t.

Being independent doesn’t mean I do not need love. It doesn’t mean I like going home alone. It doesn’t mean I hate men or that I won’t submit.

It doesn’t mean I will stop being feminine, sexy & ladylike. I still want to be cared for & pampered by my partner.

I desire to have doors opened & be treated to dinner. I still want to be protected & covered with assurance that everything is going to be okay.

YES, I Love my independence”.
