The caption indicates that the pair will marry in 2024, despite the fact that they have yet to announce the formal date.
The statement reads:
“Images and videos come to our attention showing our son Taiwo getting married to a Wofai Ewa in a traditional ceremony in Ugep, Cross River State. As such, person(s) parading themselves as new members of the Cole heritage by virtue of this purported event, are not known nor accepted by the family. In other news, the family of John Paul Odonwodo, also known as Junior Pope, has stated to the public the importance of obtaining information solely from the Central Planning Committee (CPC) regarding his burial arrangements.

Despite the heartbreak caused by his passing, the family finds solace in the impactful life he led.
The statement reads:
“His life was characterized by love of God, love of family, love of community and being a beacon of positive energy to all who had come across him.”
According to him, what the family owe him at the point is to bid him a befitting farewell, hence the setting up of the burial committee by the family.
“We enjoin the public to rely solely on information put out by the committee on the funeral rites.“The tentative date of burial for our fallen hero is May 17, while the programme of events around his farewell is being finalised with the family
“The Funeral Poster encapsulating these events will be shared by the CPC with the general public shortly.

It is worth noting that Jnr Pope had recorded a video before the accident, pleading with the boat driver to exercise caution and reduce speed, as he was the sole provider for his sons. Unfortunately, he did not survive the accident, leaving behind a wife and three young children.
E-money has taken to Instagram to assure that he will take on the responsibility of caring for Jnr Pope’s children, treating them as his sons.
In his words;
“It has been one week since you departed from this world, leaving behind a profound sense of loss that reverberates not only among us but also across Africa and beyond. Your presence, as both a friend and a brother, is deeply missed, JP.
The weight of your absence bears heavily upon our hearts, yet we draw comfort from the belief that God will grant us the resilience to carry forward and uphold the legacy you’ve entrusted to us.
We tenderly remember your final words on the boat, “NA ONLY ME DEM BORN I GET 3 CHILDREN NA ME GO RAISE THEM,” and we solemnly commit to honoring that vow. Your children now find solace in the embrace of the Okonkwo family, and we, as members of that family, pledge to nurture them as you would have wished.
Your absence leaves a palpable void, JP, and your memory will forever be held dear. Rest peacefully, knowing that you are deeply cherished, and may God’s blessings encompass your soul, your family, and all who hold you in their hearts.
