Pete Edochie, the renowned figure in Nollywood has revealed who taught him how to handle female fans.
He stated that he received guidance on managing female admirers from Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, the inaugural president of the country.
This revelation came during an interview where Edochie recounted his interaction with Dr. Azikiwe. Upon the return of Dr. Azikiwe from America, Edochie approached him seeking advice on how to deal with alluring married women who showed interest in him.
The 77-year-old actor asserted that the former Nigerian leader counselled him to respond to women’s advances in a manner befitting any man of his age.
In other related news, Rita Edochie, a veteran actress, has denied reports that her brother-in-law and colleague, Chief Pete Edochie gave his blessing to the marriage between Yul Edochie and Judy Austin.
She was forced to give a rebuttal following a barrage of abuse and false charges spreading on social media.
In response to the brutal assaults resulting from the drama in Yul Edochie’s family, Rita cleared Chief Pete Edochie of having any hand in Yul’s second marriage.
Rita stated that Pete Edochie has gotten several insults from netizens accusing him of supporting Judy Austin while starring in their film.
She added that Chief Pete Edochie’s involvement in a contentious film was due to his dedication to his career, and he was uninformed of the producer’s identity.
Despite getting paid for two projects, Rita revealed that Pete pulled out of the second after learning that Judy Austin was the producer. Rita emphasized Chief Pete Edochie’s age and dignity, advising detractors to avoid bringing him into such controversies.
Rita also defended her sister-in-law, Mrs. Josephine Edochie (Yul Edochie’s mother), against false charges and urged the public to respect their privacy. She said that Yul’s mother has also been doing a lot of work offline on Yul’s marriage.
She urged content makers and bloggers to cease propagating misinformation.
