Charles Oputa, a renowned singer and activist, has criticized the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, by labeling him as the ‘century’s mistake maker’.

This remark was made in response to Wike’s admission of making a mistake and his intention to rectify it in due course.

The ongoing conflict between Wike and the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has divided the state House of Assembly into two factions.

“I want to say this clearly, in life we have made a mistake. I have made a mistake. I own it up and I say God forgive me. I have said all of you forgive me. But we will correct it at the appropriate time,” Wike declared.

In response to the comment, Charly Boy stated on his social media account on Tuesday that Wike will soon regret supporting President Bola Tinubu in 2023.

He wrote:

“I made a mistake in 2016 by supporting Senator Ali Modu Sheriff as PDP National Chairman. I made another mistake in 2017 by supporting Prince Uche Secondus as PDP National Chairman.

I made another mistake for supporting Tambuwal for PDP ticket in 2019. I made yet another mistake in 2021 by supporting Senator Iyorchia Ayu as PDP National Chairman.

And, most recently, I made a mistake in 2023 by supporting Sir Sim Fubara as my successor. I know very soon he will make another mistake for supporting Tinubu in 2023. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the mistake maker of the century.”

Charly Boy, the renowned singer and activist, has raised concerns about the whereabouts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Following his participation in the World Economic Forum in Saudi Arabia, the Nigerian leader has not yet returned to the country.

There are allegations that Tinubu has made an unexpected trip to London. This situation has further heightened the growing unease surrounding the President’s recent absences.

Since departing from Riyadh, President Tinubu, who has been engaged in international commitments since April 23, has not been publicly seen.

The silence from both him and the Presidency has triggered a wave of speculations and reactions.

Taking to his official X handle, Charly Boy questioned the President’s well-being and criticized the administration for its lack of transparency with the Nigerian public.

Charly Boy accused the Presidency of deceiving the public with false and distorted information, expressing his frustration with the current administration’s reliance on propaganda rather than implementing substantial economic policies.

He said:

“Come on. Wey una President? Is all well with him?

“Tinubu’s propaganda machine has been over heating the country with very fake and twisted lies, but propaganda cannot substitute for economic policies.

“Come ooooo, na Peter Obi make Nigerians dey suffer like dis? Na Peter Obi show APC how empty dey are?

“Has fake propaganda become the tactic deployed by APC in all political strata, to continue disparaging and attacking any perceived opposition with all ethnic and religious spears by their cronies. Obi has continued to bore the brunt of these malicious individuals.”
