Ilebaye Odiniya, the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 8, has confirmed receiving her prize money from the organizers of the popular reality show.
Ilebaye earned N120 million after winning the All-Star version of the reality program in October of last year.
She verified to supporters during a recent Instagram live session that she had received the prize money.
Her disclosure comes after Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner Phyna called out the organizers, alleging she had yet to get the N100 million she won from the program in 2022.
Ilebaye explained:
“I have received my [BBNaija prize] money. I haven’t even touched tiny part of it. My money haven’t finished. I haven’t touched my prize money. And this is a fact.”

This comes after Ijeoma Josephine Otabor aka Phyna took to her X page to accuse Multichoice, organisers of the Big Brother Naija reality show.
The winner of the Big Brother Naija ‘Level up’ season accused organizers of refusing to pay her winning prizes and money she won during the show that took place in 2022.
Phyna didn’t leave anything to chance, as she made sure her voice was heard.
The 26-year-old stated that after two years, the organizers of the show have not been truthful with her on the issue.
Her latest comment comes at a time when the organizers of the show have announced plans to begin this year’s edition.
Making her voice heard on X, Phyna wrote:

Winner of season 7 nor see all her prizes and money
Well lemme mind my business before them go talk say I don go bite their hand…. It is well
Meanwhile, Multichoice has announced auditions for its ninth Big Brother Naija reality show which will soon kick off.
Multichoice shared the news on its X page on Tuesday. It also revealed how interested individuals can audition for the show.
According to the statement, audition applications will be accepted starting today, Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 8:00 p.m.
In a fresh twist, the organizers announced that competitors for the forthcoming ninth season will audition in pairs.
According to the organizers, auditioning pairs can be close friends, family members, love partners, or any other combination representing a “dynamic duo.”
The post states, “Exciting News!” Biggie returns for #BBNaija Season 9 auditions with a twist! The audition requires two persons.
The statement reads:
”This year, its a search for Dynamic Duos that love the show and can turn up the heat in Biggie’s house!”Can you make a Dynamic Duo? Simply swipe and follow the instructions!”Auditions open, 27th March at 8pm!’”Contestants are encouraged to submit a three-minute video showcasing their personalities, strengths as a duo, and why they should be in the house for BBNaija Season 9.”
