Simisola Kosoko, the renowned Nigerian vocalist, widely recognized as Simi, has openly acknowledged the strong musical connection she shares with her colleague, Falz.
During her appearance on Angela Yee’s podcast, ‘Way Up,’ the singer clarified that many individuals mistakenly assumed that they were romantically involved.
Furthermore, she subtly revealed that she and Falz will be releasing a new song together later this month.
Simi said:
“I have one more single coming out at the end of this month. I can’t say the title now but I can tell you who I’m featuring on it. It’s Falz!
“This is interesting because Falz and I have a history. Before I got married, we did an EP and everything.
People thought we were dating. We had a couple of songs together and people loved them. They were like, ‘You have a good chemistry.’ So we decided to do a joint EP and we made an EP called ‘Chemistry.’ People really loved it.
“So we want to do something again for the culture. It’s kind of a funny song. I’m really excited and I can’t wait for people to hear it.”
Simi and Falz were rumored to be dating after collaborating on a joint EP called ‘Chemistry’ in 2016. The rumors died down once Simi tied the knot with her secret beau, singer Adekunle Gold, on January 9, 2019, in Lagos. They became parents to their first child, Adejare, in 2020.
In other news, Adekunle Gold, a popular Nigerian musician, has criticized Samklef, a producer-turned-blogger, for his recent comments against his wife, Simi.
Samklef had accused Adekunle Gold’s wife, Simi, of being “ungrateful.”
On social media, Samklef named Simi and Ric Hassani as the “most ungrateful” artists he has collaborated with.
He stated that he would not completely forgive Simi unless she apologized publicly for allegedly setting him up for criticism.
He wrote:
“If simi comes out publicly and apologizes for setting me up for dragging I will fully forgive her. But if she doesn’t I will be reminding her who she truly is for the next 7 billion years.”
Adekunle Gold gave counsel to Samklef on Twitter, stating that his spouse is not obligated to him. The musician reprimanded the producer for his immaturity.
He wrote,
“When will it be your turn to receive sense from your 7th heaven? Because you are clearly lost in your own damn mind. Simi doesn’t owe you sh*t and it’s about time you stopped calling her name every 3 market days. If anything, you owe me! Stop fooling around and act your age!”
