On Tuesday, April 30, a tragic motor accident occurred at Ekwegbe, along Enugu/Opi/Nsukka Road, in Enugu state, resulting in the untimely demise of sixteen travelers.

Among the victims were fourteen males and two females, whose bodies were severely burned and could not be identified.

The accident involved a white-colored Toyota Hummer bus with an 18-seater capacity, bearing a Bauchi State commercial registration number DAS 215 XA and the inscription “Masha Allah.”

It was reported that the bus was being driven at a high speed when the driver lost control, causing it to crash into the fence of Maduka University.

According to a preliminary investigation conducted by the police, the unfortunate incident led to the bus catching fire, resulting in the complete destruction of the vehicle and the tragic deaths of all sixteen individuals.

Their bodies were subsequently taken to the hospital where their deaths were confirmed. However, amidst the devastation, two other passengers were fortunate enough to be rescued alive.

They were promptly transported to the hospital for medical attention by the swift response of police officers, soldiers, and compassionate members of the public.

The initial investigation indicated that the vehicle, which was carrying edible vegetables, other food items, and the passengers’ luggage, was traveling from the Enugu area towards Nsukka.

However, the exact starting point and final destination of the vehicle have not been determined. Nevertheless, the Igbo-Etiti Police Division has successfully recovered the items.

DSP Daniel Ndukwe, the spokesperson for the command, confirmed the incident and stated that CP Kanayo Uzuegbu, accompanied by officials from the Federal Road Safety Corps, has visited the scene to assess the situation.

Meanwhile, Self-acclaimed Prophet Metu has stated why his prophecy that the world would end on the 25th of April, 2024 failed.

According to him, the reason is that God took pity on the earth after he had embarked on a 21-day dry fasting. Metu had some days ago claimed that God revealed to him that the world would end on the 25th of April, 2024. However, his prophecy failed leading to him being mocked on social media.

He had claimed that the vision was shown to him twice by God, however it later failed. Speaking on why the prophecy failed, he stated that God listened to him following an intense 21-day fasting. God took pity on the earth for the prophet’s sake and extended his mercy to them.

In his words:

“The Lord Showed Us Mercy. After our 21days fasting and prayer, he heard us and gave us more time to live. Prayer works 💪 #rapture2024 #rapture”
