Reality TV personality Phyna has provided an update regarding her ongoing dispute with MultiChoice.
In a post on social media, she shared with her fans and followers on the X platform that she will be meeting with MultiChoice, accompanied by her legal team.
Additionally, through the Practitioners of Content Creating, Skitmaking, and Influencers Guild (PCCSIGN), Phyna has issued a Memo to the organizers, urging them to honor their commitment to her.
The Memo outlined the promises made by the show’s organizers to Phyna and requested prompt action to release the owed prizes from the brands.
She wrote on X:

Recall that Multichoice, the organizers of the Big Brother Naija reality show have been told to pay BBNaija winner, Phyna all her outstanding prize money.
The call was made by the Content Creating Skit-making and Influencers Guild of Nigeria (PCCSIGN) in a memo shared online.
The request was made through a formal memo sent to Multichoice, the organizers of the reality show. Phyna had previously criticized Big Brother Naija and Multichoice for not fulfilling their obligations to her, despite the upcoming new season.
In the memo, PCCSIGN emphasized the importance of settling the overdue debt to Phyna, who had chosen to remain silent on the matter to avoid negative labels.
Phyna, in a post sharing the memo, expressed her admiration for DSTV, Multichoice, and BBNaija, but stressed her desire to receive what is rightfully hers.
She wrote:
“This is a young Nigerian woman trying to get what she deserves. I have enough respect for ( MultiChoice, DSTV, and BBNaija ) but it is imperative that sponsors uphold their commitments to winners of the show.”
Meanwhile, Multichoice has announced auditions for its ninth Big Brother Naija reality show which will soon kick off.
Multichoice shared the news on its X page on Tuesday. It also revealed how interested individuals can audition for the show.
According to the statement, audition applications will be accepted starting today, Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 8:00 p.m.
In a fresh twist, the organizers announced that competitors for the forthcoming ninth season will audition in pairs.
According to the organizers, auditioning pairs can be close friends, family members, love partners, or any other combination representing a “dynamic duo.”
The post states, “Exciting News!” Biggie returns for #BBNaija Season 9 auditions with a twist! The audition requires two persons.
The statement reads:
”This year, its a search for Dynamic Duos that love the show and can turn up the heat in Biggie’s house!
”Can you make a Dynamic Duo? Simply swipe and follow the instructions!
”Auditions open, 27th March at 8pm!’
”Contestants are encouraged to submit a three-minute video showcasing their personalities, strengths as a duo, and why they should be in the house for BBNaija Season 9.”
