Victor Osimhen, a popular Nigerian player has sparked reactions on Wednesday, February 29.
This comes after a video surfaced online showing him fixing his opponent’s goal net during Napoli’s match against Sassuolo went viral.
Napoli won comfortably 6-1 over Sassuolo, with Osimhen scoring three goals.
Andrea Consigli, Sassuolo’s goalkeeper, accidentally damaged the net while attempting to stop a Khvicha Kvaratskhelia shot in the first half.
The game was briefly interrupted when Osimhen moved into the opposing box to assist in fixing the net with tape. Osimhen went on to score two goals following this performance, in addition to his first-half goal.
The incident sparked enthusiasm for Osimhen’s sportsmanship, with many commending his desire to assist and others praising his creativity and multitasking abilities.

In other news, a little boy seemed to have struck lucky after famous football player Victor Osimhen expressed his desire to meet him.
It all started after blogger Tunde Ednut had posted a video of the little boy on his Instagram page.
The young player imitated Osimhen’s on-field look in the video. With his mask on and his ball in his hand, he was wearing a Nigerian shirt with the words “Victor 9” printed clearly behind him.
People in the background could be heard calling him Osimhen as he went outside.
After that, Osimhen saw the video, which went viral.
The Napoli striker left a kind remark on Ednut’s post, saying that he wanted to get in touch with the child.
He made a second plea to Tunde Ednut to ensure it happened.
He wrote:
“l go like reach out to the boy, @mazitundeednut kindly help me abeg”
In response, Tunde Ednut acted quickly and urged anyone with pertinent information on the boy’s whereabouts to get in touch with him right away.
He penned:
“Remember the boy I posted earlier today? Victor Osimhen commented and also reached out to me that he really wants to meet this boy.
Please, if you have any link to this boy at all, please let me know in the DM. I will be checking my DM from this moment till night falls. I will check again tomorrow.
