Tochukwu Ojogwu, also known as Odumodublvck, a popular rapper, has thrown his support behind Super Eagles player Alex Iwobi.

This followed Nigeria’s loss at the finals of the 2023 AFCON and the bullying the midfielder suffered online.

Nigeria’s 2-1 loss to Ivory Coast in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations final at Alassane Ouattara Stadium on Sunday, led to social media users criticising the 27-year-old.

Despite the criticism, Odumodublvck commended Iwobi’s performance and declared that he had a good tournament on Twitter.

He congratulated the team for elevating the country to a level that many did not expect and expressed optimism that the Super Eagles would make a return.

Odumodublvck tweeted:

“IWOBI HAD A GREAT TOURNAMENT. THE WHOLE TEAM TOOK US TO WHERE WE NEVER IMAGINED. WE WILL BE BACK 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬”

Recall that, Austin Jay Jay Okocha, a Super Eagles legend, has turned to Instagram to rally behind his nephew, Alex Iwobi, who has received an upsurge of online hatred following Nigeria’s defeat to Ivory Coast in the AFCON finals.

A slew of Nigerians stormed the player’s page, throwing curses at him and blaming him for the defeat.

In reaction to the deluge of cyberbullying, Iwobi strategically removed all photographs and videos from his Instagram profile.

In reaction, Okocha went to his social media page and wrote:

‘’I pray for my country Nigeria and the people that can only hate and see nothing good in others, when effort counts for nothing, treat people the way you want them to treat you, all we have is this life is each other, we love you @alexanderiwobi and we keep going no matter what they say, the lord is good all the time and we trust that his will be done in our lives amen”
