Stanley Nwabali, Nigeria’s Goalkeeper, Moved To Tears As He Expressed Gratitude To His Fans

Stanley Nwabali, the custodian for the Super Eagles and Chippa United FC, has thanked everyone who contributed to Nigeria’s victory.

Following Nigeria’s penalty shootout victory over South Africa, Nwabali, who was chosen man of the match, declined to accept the award and instead credited the Super Eagles squad for the victory.

On Tuesday night, the goalkeeper saved two penalty kicks to help his team defeat South Africa.

He thanked his coaches, management, and fellow Nigerians throughout his speech.

In his own words:

“I really appreciate millions of Nigerians supporting me, I wanted to make them happy. I saw give God the glory and honour. It has been a good team performance throughout this tournament. I really appreciate the management and coaches. These guys have really guided me a lot throughout this tournament, and I feel so happy.”
