Actress Evan Okoro Cries Out Over Impending Demolition Of Her House

Nigerian actress Evan Okoro has expressed concern about the upcoming demolition of her residence. She utilized social media to express her distress regarding the imminent destruction of her property in Delta State, stating, “Nigeria has happened to me.”

Okoro mentioned that her attempts to make a living through different ventures, such as a fish farm and plantation, have been ruined.

She also made a plea to the governor of the state, Sheriff Oborevwori, requesting his intervention to prevent the demolition.

“Please my governor, do something #sheriffoborevwori,” Evan Okoro implored in a post via her Instagram handle on Tuesday.
“I’m just a struggling, hardworking lady who is trying to earn a living in your state, Asaba, Delta State. Our sweet and handsome governor please sir do something. My whole world is crumbling,” she lamented.
The actress expressed her devastation over losing both her home and source of income. In a video she shared, she lamented the unfairness of the situation and the loss of her fish farm and plantation.
She also recognized the government’s control over land ownership and appealed for understanding and empathy.
“All lands belong to the government I know, even my father’s house in the village. Please do something sir #sheriffoborevwori our very own Governor please sir.”
Nevertheless, ongoing demolitions of properties labeled as ‘illegal’ are taking place throughout the country.
A woman, known as @lashiskin_ on Instagram, experienced distress when the Lagos State Government issued a demolition notice for the building her family had purchased in the Eti Osa Local Government Area.
In a viral video she shared on her Instagram page, the fair-skinned lady, who appeared to be involved in the skincare business based on her profile, was seen shedding uncontrollable tears over the situation.
She expressed her frustration, stating that her family had acquired the property in February 2024 and had only been living there for two months. She emphasized the hard work and sleepless nights they had invested in the purchase, highlighting the high cost of property in Eti Osa for those familiar with Lagos.
