Vera Anyim has put aside her differences and pardoned the Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Center, Dr Paul Enenche.
She met with the clergyman and his wife, Becky Enenche on Monday following Enenche’s accusation of her lying about being a “BSc graduate of law” from the National Open University of Nigeria, NOUN.
Vera, who had claimed during a Sunday live service that she graduated from NOUN after ten years, was accused of lying by Pastor Enenche.
A video clip circulating on social media showed how the senior pastor interrupted her testimony, stating that she had lied about having a BSc in law.
The pastor received backlash from concerned Nigerians, demanding an apology to Vera. The church has issued an apology, clarifying that the incident was unintentional.
Following the apology, Vera posted photos of herself, Pastor Enenche, and his wife on her Facebook page.
She expressed no ill feelings towards the pastor and the church, emphasizing her dedication to “serving God as a member of Dunamis church”.
“I want to inform the whole world that I just had a warm meeting with my spiritual father and mother dr Paul Enenche and dr Becky Enenche.“I don’t have any grudge against the church or them I remain committed to serving God as a member of Dunamis church.“I am thankful for the concern of the public. I have put the situation at my back and I have moved forward and I want everybody to do the same. Peace.”
Reno Omokri has responded to the apology issued by the Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Center, Paul Enenche, to Miss Vera Anyim.
Enenche had previously accused Vera of lying when she testified about obtaining a BSc in law. Vera, who stated during a Live Sunday service at Dunamis that she graduated from the National Open University of Nigeria after a decade, was called out by Pastor Enenche for allegedly lying.
A video circulating on social media captured the moment the senior pastor interrupted her testimony, disputing her claim of having a BSc in law.
Following the incident, many Nigerians took to the internet to express their concerns and demand an apology from the pastor to Vera. The church has since apologized, clarifying that the misunderstanding was unintentional.
Reno Omokri praised Enenche on his Facebook page for taking responsibility for his mistakes and making amends with Vera Anyim.
Omokri also highlighted the pastor’s apology as a display of Christlike behavior, emphasizing the redemptive nature of the situation.
“Miss Anyim is now fully vindicated as a bonafide graduate of law, and a recipient of God’s grace.“I urge every member of Pastor Paul Enenche’s congregation, whose faith was challenged to be encouraged by this. Their pastor has, by his exemplary conduct, shown that love is stronger than pride.“I pray that God blessed Miss Vera Anyim and Pastor Paul Enenche and give them the desires of their hearts, in Yeshua’s Name”, the post added.
