Singer Iyanya has stated why he has not replied to allegations made by his ex-girlfriend, actress Yvonne Nelson, that he cheated on her with their colleague Tonto Dikeh.
Yvonne made the charge in her incendiary book, I Am Not Yvonne Nelson, which will be released in Ghana around June 2023.
Iyanya’s romance with Yvonne ended in 2015 after the couple began dating in July 2012 and were seen together at events.
In response to the actress’s accusation, the singer tweeted that he would discuss it later, but not in a book. He, however, remained mute on the topic.
However, in a recent interview on The Beat 99.9 FM in Lagos, Iyanya stated that he endorsed the book without understanding its contents.
The musician, who vowed to answer Yvonne’s charges when the book was released last year, has revealed that he is still not prepared to react to his ex-girlfriend’s adultery allegations.
He mentioned that they are still on excellent terms and contact often.
Iyanya said:
“I endorsed Yvonne Nelson’s book without knowing I was in the book. We were cool, we still talk to this day, so I didn’t know that I was in the book. When the book came out, everywhere was buzzing. People were telling me I am in the book. But I have not read it till now.
“I know I promised to address the allegations she made in her book, but I’m not ready to respond. I’m not going to respond to stuff like that, being me comes with a lot of madness.”

Recall that following his appearance at Davido’s concert in April 2023, he stated that he was hunting for a lady with whom he was interested.
He added that the lady, Florence, showed admiration for him when he was playing onstage.
He met her for lunch and then went on a boat excursion with her. However, he received critical feedback from social media users who chastised him for stealing Florence from her fiancé.
In a recent interview with Naija FM, Iyanya denied removing herself from her lover. He went on to remark that her eyes, not her physique, piqued his curiosity.
After contacting her, he learned that her father had cancer, and she had simply taken the night off to have some fun. In light of this, the “Kukere” singer agreed to help her.
