Nigerian singer, Jaywon has slammed Nigerians still supporting the present leadership of President Bola Tinubu.

His anger stems from the hardship and hunger being experienced all over the country due to high cost of living.

Protests have broken out in several places in Nigeria in reaction to the country’s present economic woes.

Many celebrities have decried the country’s woes and the rising value of the dollar, urging President Bola Tinubu to intervene and end the economic crisis.

Jaywon has now aimed at Nigerians who continue to back this administration, calling them stupid.

He criticized the rise in costs as the minimum salary remained unchanged and challenged them to investigate if this administration truly cares about its citizens.

His words:

“SOME FOOLS ARE STILL SHOUTING AND SUPPORTING THIS GOVERNMENT. LOOK IF THIS GOVERNMENT REALLY CARES ABOUT THE PEOPLE, THE FIRST THING TO DO WILL BE FOR THEM TO REDUCE THE COST OF GOVERNANCE BUT RATHER THEY ARE LOOKING FOR A WAY TO INCREASE IT WHILE MINIMUM WAGE NO DEY EVER INCREASE NO MATTER THE SITUATION…. WE TOO MUMU FOR THIS COUNTRY.”

In other news, Oluwaseyitan Aletile, commonly known as Seyi Law, a Nigerian comedian living abroad, has sworn that he will not desert the administration he helped bring to office.

He also expressed hope that Nigeria’s economic position will improve.

Remember that Seyi Law led the present government’s social media advocacy throughout the 2023 election campaign?

Many Nigerians believe his social media engagement helped propel President Tinubu to prominence.

The comedian, who lives overseas, has come under criticism on social media as the economy worsens, with many young people criticizing him for supporting President Bola Tinubu’s federal administration.

However, responding to his X handle, the comedian responded,

“I laugh not at your pains and I know there’s a lot of hardship right now. The fact that I supported a different candidate from you isn’t to spite you but out of my belief that my candidate will achieve a better Nigeria.”

”I can’t abandon the government that I voted for. I can only join them to bring relief to Nigerians.”

He claimed he was currently in Abuja talking with some government officials to bring hope to Nigerians,

“The cost of governance will reduce, minimum wage will increase, and food affordability will improve”, Seyi Law claimed.
