The Chief of Staff to Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu, Femi Gbajabiamila has been lambasted on social media after he called for a ban on social media.
Gbajabiamila had made the call at a recent event. He claimed that social media is a menace that must be banned.
Reacting, Nigerian journalist Rufai Oseni accused Gbajabiamila of hypocrisy.
According to him, when Gbajabiamila was in opposition, he called the Peoples Democratic Party-led government vagabonds on Twitter.
Rufai wrote:
“The same people that called a government in power Vagabonds on social media are the ones saying social media is a menace, when they were menacing on social media they had selective amnesia Abi?”
Also reacting, fiery activist and skitmaker, Mr. Macaroni, slammed Gbajabiamila over his call for a ban on social media.
He shared screenshots showing Gbajabiamila’s uncouth attacks against the PDP government in the past.
He wrote:
“Mr @femigbaja This was you when Social Media was sweeting you.
It is evident that you and this accidental and desperate government of yours regard Nigerians as Imbeciles!! Well we are not!!! The people are suffering!!!
Fix up and put an end to this ridiculousness!!!!”

In other news, Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has advised her pals about how to behave around her husband.
The actress added that her friends are not allowed to grin at her lover.
She maintained that, while she trusts him to be loyal to her, she does not trust her friends.
She went on to say that her friends are not permitted to seek her guy’s aid if they become lost, citing an incident in which a woman snatched her friend’s boyfriend, became pregnant for him and even dared her friend to do worse.
Nkechi also urged them to avoid her ex-boyfriends.
She said:
As my friend ,you aren’t permitted to shine your teeth at my mine. He wouldn’t even answer you. To the point you will now say, you’re stranded, can you please go and spend a night in his house, my sister I no go allow you. I trust my man oo but I no trust the nyash wey you carry.
