Veteran music entrepreneur and artist manager Obi Asika has given his take on the ongoing debate about showing respect to the pioneers of the Nigerian music industry.
Obi Asika praised D’banj and Daddy Showkey. He asserted that without them, the current generation of Nigerian musicians would not have existed.
Obi Asika continued by saying that Burna Boy is Daddy Showkey’s regen and Wizkid is D’banj’s.
He was featured on a recent Hip TV show called Trending.
Asika stated:
“2Face has a grass to grace story, the same with Daddy Showkey. These are legends. You can’t have a Burna Boy without a Daddy Showkey.“You can’t have a Wizkid without Dbanj. You can’t have Davido without these legends like P-Square.”
In other news, Olori Tobi Phillips, wife of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has revealed what she passed through during her recent pregnancy.According to her, she experienced moments of panic during the 18th week of her pregnancy.
