Bella Shmurda, a popular Nigerian musician, has opened up about the important influence that iconic rapper Olamide played in his career.
He confessed that Olamide helped him more than his mother.
The ‘Cash App’ singer expressed profound regard and respect for Olamide. He said Olamide was a guiding light for emerging musicians navigating the difficulties of the music industry.
According to Bella, despite Olamide’s international recognition and success, he has constantly chosen to devote his time and skills to developing emerging artists, assisting them in finding their footing, and excelling in their particular music genres.
Bella Shmurda acknowledged Olamide’s enormous effect on both his business and personal life.
The musician went on to say that if his children asked him who had genuinely made a huge impact in his life, he would unquestionably choose Olamide before even mentioning his mother.
The star disclosed that he plans to release more prophetic songs in 2024. WeTalkSound filmed Bella Shmurda at Tension Rave 2024 for a documentary on his personal life, including his climb to the top of the music industry, his experiences as a dad, and his attraction to Ibadan.
During the conversation, Bella Shmurda explained why he travels back to Ibadan every year. He claims he fell in love with Ibadan when the city embraced him early in his career and gave him his first headline event.
“I want to bring entertainment to Ibadan. I want people to know Ibadan,”
“I’m not just an artist. I do prophetic music and this will be more in 2024,”
“I don’t want my son to grow up to say ‘My father used to sing’. I want him to turn on the TV and see his father”.
