1Da Banton, a rising Nigerian singer, has recently shared exciting details about his collaboration with popular Afrobeat singer, Davido.
In a recent interview on the Afrobeats Podcast, 1Da Banton not only discussed his contributions to Davido’s music but also shed light on the unexpected inspiration that led him to pursue a music career.
One of his notable contributions includes writing the lyrics for Davido’s track ‘No Competition’.
Additionally, 1Da Banton revealed that he played a role in the production of another Davido hit, ‘Na Money’, which features the Grammy award-winning Beninese singer Angelique Kidjo and ‘The Cavemen’.
“I produced Davido’s ‘Na Money’ with Cavemen and wrote ‘No Competition’ featuring Asake,”he said.
1Da Banton also revealed the individual who influenced his choice to embark on a music career.
He acknowledged Nasboi, a Nigerian skit maker and singer, as the source of his inspiration during a period when he was romantically involved with his older sister.
“My older sister’s ex-boyfriend, Nasboi inspired me to make music,”he added.
In other news, David Adeleke, best known by his stage name Davido, a popular Nigerian musician has revealed something personal about his wife, Chioma Roland, and their marriage.
Davido said in a recent interview that he didn’t have money or fame when he first met Chioma.
He claimed that it would have been difficult for him to get married now if he hadn’t met Chioma at that time since he would have felt that every lady would have wanted him for his wealth or position.
Davido claimed that knowing that the majority of the people in his close circle were there before he became well-known and wealthy makes him happier.
“I have a friend, anytime I am on the phone with my wife, he would say he has everything in the world, but a wife is what he is missing.
