In other news, Temi Akerele, also known as King Manny, the personal assistant of music sensation Burna Boy has sent a message to musician Jaywon.
This followed Jaywon’s criticism of Burna Boy in a recent podcast for saying no one paved the way for him.
According to Etikonaija, Jaywon blasted his colleague Burna Boy for believing that no one prepared the route for them in the industry, although someone did so for other musicians.
During an interview, Jaywon remarked that Burna Boy’s claims that no one has paved the way for him in the industry are preposterous and utterly false.
The singer stated that the African giant was just saying that no one had ever inspired him, from his childhood to the present.
Jaywon rejects the concept that there is a distinction between being inspired by someone and having someone lead the path for them.
He questioned where the next generation of artists would learn if no one had done it before them.
He remembers Burna Boy receiving a 30BG chain from Afrobeats musician Davido, characterizing it as a big boost to his career.
Jaywon continued by adding that it costs nothing for any artist to acknowledge their predecessors who came before them.
Speaking up for his boss, King Manny emphasized that no one set up the road for him as he struggled and put in more hours to reach the top.
He questioned whether Jaywon was now forming OG in the industry, noting that his boss is highly busy, which is why he cannot respond to him.
He wrote:
“Jaywon. Abi wetin Dem dey call you na God go punish you Waka. Iku pe e. All of una just dey price for this online no worry Burna is super busy bro, it’s called hard work and putting your mind into what you love and know how to do best. Nobody paved the way for him none. Cause I no understand se you too na
