President Bola Tinubu has been praised by the National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, for giving his support to veteran actor, Zach Orji.
Rollas said Tinubu was instrumental in Zack Orji’s recent travel to the United Kingdom for post-surgery assessment.
Speaking in a statement shared by Femi Durojaiye, the Guild’s Senior Special Adviser Media/Press Secretary on Saturday, Rollas said:
“On behalf of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, the National President, Dr. Ejezie Emeka Rollas, has expressed deep appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for his fatherly intervention on the health of the former President of the Guild, Mr. Zack Orji, who has departed to the United Kingdom for post-surgery assessment.
“Dr. Rollas also commended the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for her motherly care towards the veteran actor as well as the son of the President, Seyi Tinubu, for his inflicting support.”
In his statement, Rollas also thanked the Minister for Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy, and Orji’s longtime friend, Ahmed Bala for coming through for the actor.
“We have witnessed the unprecedented support that President Tinubu is giving to the creative industry which has clearly shown his clear determination to uplift the sector to be more relevant and beneficial to both the practitioners and the national economy and we find it necessary to appreciate him.” the statement added.
Zack Orji had also undergone two successful brain surgeries according to a disclosure made by Rollas on Thursday following rumours that Zack Orji had died.
Zack Orji’s visit to the United Kingdom is for the popular Nollywood actor to undergo evaluation after his successful surgeries.
Recall that in December, it was reported that Zack Orji fell in his toilet, which saw him rushed to the National Hospital in Abuja before two surgeries were later carried out on him.
He departed for UK on Friday and will return to the country soon.
