Nigerians on social media have chastised ex-militant leader Asari Dokubo for demonstrating and criticizing President Bola Tinubu’s government.
Netizens slammed him, especially for the fact that Dokubo was one of the major figures who campaigned for Tinubu in 2023.
Dokubo had even urged Nigerians to hold him accountable if the administration fails.
However, for months, the ex-militant has protested and condemned Tinubu’s regime.
In a popular video, Asari Dokubo accused government leaders, including governors and ministers, of keeping mute in the face of Nigeria’s critical difficulties, notably the country’s persistent security challenges.
Many social media users have used various venues to voice their dissatisfaction and suspicion over Dokubo’s apparent shift in opinion.
Watch video:
Asari Dokubo that said `hold me responsible if Tinubu fails ‘ he is now calling Governors to speak out.
Next time don’t let anyone fool you into believing that they can hold anything responsible.

According to DAILY POST, a viral video appeared a few weeks ago in which an Islamic cleric said that Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, deserved to die for her Christian beliefs while branding President Bola Tinubu’s Muslim/Muslim ticket as a hoax.
Undeterred by the danger, the First Lady stated that, at 64 years old, she should not dread death.
She made these statements during a courtesy visit to Bauchi’s Emir, Alhaji Rilwan Adamu, before launching several projects in the state on Tuesday.
She said:
“I want to thank His Excellency (Bauchi Governor); he keeps assuring me that I am safe in Bauchi, but I want to say that I am too old to be afraid. If God has granted me over 60 years on earth, I shouldn’t fear death.
“I thank God that you encouraged me to come. Nigeria belongs to all of us, and this is the time for us to unite more than ever before.”
In response, Bauchi Governor, Bala Mohammed, who accompanied the First Lady to the Emir’s Palace, condemned the recent death threats made against her, labeling it a “national embarrassment.”
Mohammed voiced his dismay at the event, calling the threat unacceptable.
He assured Mrs. Tinubu that she was secure in the state and promised to take proper action against the cleric guilty of the threat.
Remi Tinubu, who also serves as the National Chairperson of the Renewed Hope Initiative, was in the state to launch certain ICT and educational facilities in the capital.
