Nigerian rapper Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, better known by his stage name Skales, has expressed worry over the nation’s growing problems and hardships.

Skales had taken to his Twitter page to ask if anybody could help the administration come up with a workable plan to deal with the worrying circumstances.

Skales drew attention to the growing suffering that Nigerians endured, citing recent demonstrations around the nation when citizens expressed their annoyance over starvation and the skyrocketing costs of necessities.

Skales wrote:

“Isn’t there like anyone with solutions to help this government save Nigeria from crashing?”

Skales expresses concern about what he sees as a deterioration in Nigeria’s state and warns that if the government does not move quickly to find and implement remedies, Nigeria may experience a financial collapse.

Nollywood star Tomiwa Tegbe addressed Skales’ worries by recalling the time during the campaign when an Igbo presidential contender had offered clear strategies for saving the country.

Tegbe remarked after quoting Skales’ piece

He said:

“Somebody articulately shared his solutions, they said he was Igbo.”

Meanwhile, Nigerian actor Kunle Remi and actress Yvonne Jegede have slammed the Lagos State government following viral videos showing Lagos State residents waiting in line to purchase rice bags from the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) for N10,000.

In a statement to the press in Lagos, NCS Comptroller General Adewale Adeniyi said that customs personnel are not permitted to participate in the procedure.

In the video, the women lined up in an organized fashion, going one after the other to get the bag of rice they had paid for.

According to a statement published by the service’s National Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Maiwada, Adeniyi indicated that the rice will be packed in 25-kg bags and priced at N10,000.

He stated that the target groups included craftsmen, teachers, nurses, religious organizations, and other Nigerians in its operational regions.

The goal, he stated, is to develop direct connections with members via these established procedures to ensure the initiative’s maximum efficacy.

Adeniyi urged against reselling food goods, noting that the NCS is committed to openness and responsibility throughout the process.

This has made many Nigerians upset, and many have expressed their dissatisfaction in blog comments. Kunle Remi, a movie star, jokingly challenged the federal government to include additional foodstuffs besides rice.

Kunle Remi wrote:
“Please they should add FG stew and small fish.. with ONE long seized plantain. Just one.”
Yvonne Jegede wrote:
“Sanwo Olu, Why feed us? Why can’t you just employ us? Get people out to start digging sewages, laying pipes underground, sweeping the streets and paying them as little as minimum wage, since the industrial sector is almost dead.
Why would you even prefer to feed your citizens “Mama Put”, 🙆🏻‍♀️ taxpayers have been reduced to beggars.🤷🏼‍♀️.. When will someone just have mercy on us?
When will someone just feel pity for this great country? 🇳🇬
Someone in the presidency should please just sorry for us, please 🙏, we are not even doing shakara at this point. We all know that at this point NOBODY is happy with this situation…🇳🇬
