Timaya, a popular Nigerian dancehall singer, has slammed Nigerians who tend to overlook the hard work singer, Davido has put into his music career to become who he is today.
Remember, many people have always attributed Davido’s success to his father’s wealth.
Timaya, while weighing into the matter, urged people to stop disrespecting the singer, and instead acknowledge the effort Davido has put into making his career a success.
He also expressed his admiration for the “Unavailable” singer’s ability and consistency.
He said:
“I’m a fan of Davido , I find it disrespectful when people try to water down his hard work in the name of the father has money. Yes the father has money but Davido has worked hard to get his own.
He is extremely talented and consistent . He is one of the most hard working young men that I’ve seen. Quit trying to discredit him, this young man has done way too much”.
Recall that the veteran music performer opened up about his drug addiction, which began during the COVID-19 epidemic in 2020.
Timaya admitted to using narcotics in the past during an interview with The Beat 99.9 FM, underscoring that he is not innocent.
Recounting how it began, he added that it was during the lockdown that he met some young guys who looked to be pleased and joyful despite having less than he had.
Timaya, a wealthy musician, inquired as to their source of happiness. They admitted to consuming Molly, a narcotic that fascinated Timaya. After tasting it, he was overjoyed and even gave away his money because of the joy he had at the time.
However, his habit grew, resulting in dramatic weight loss as he took three tablets every day.
He admitted that he had lost a lot of money as a result of this.
According to him, brands were no longer interested in working with him, and he developed a reluctance to follow up on business calls since he believed he only had what provided him with the joy and satisfaction he needed in life.
