Acclaimed singer, Davido, has responded to allegations made against him by a popular producer Napji on Twitter.
Napji took to Twitter today to accuse Davido of not paying him royalties.
“I am Napji, producer behind Fem, Jowo and sunlight on @davido album (A better time).Which was released 13th November 2020.ÂI was paid an advance of 500 thousand naira for each of the songs. I will be releasing more information as I seek to collect my royalties & publishing.

In other news, Nigerian music producer Samuel Oguachuba also known as Samklef has sparked outrage with his latest statements about Davido’s supposed purchase of a new private plane.
In a spectacular statement on the microblogging network X (previously Twitter), the father of five proudly showed his latest acquisition: a flawless Bombardier 7500.
According to sources, the recently acquired private jet, a Bombardier 7500, is considered one of the most opulent and expensive aircraft on the market, with estimates ranging from $68 million to $78 million, depending on the source.
The video depicting the interior of Davido’s recently acquired private plane instantly went viral, providing a look into its exquisite design and sumptuous amenities.
In contrast to Davido’s Twitter statement about his new purchase, Samklef claims that Davido’s father purchased the plane.
Samklef congratulated Davido on his Instagram page, but with a mocking undertone, implying that the credit should go to his father.
In a series of posts, Samklef questioned Davido’s ownership of the jet.
The music producer fueled the fire by claiming that Davido’s father was the genuine owner of the private plane, implying that Davido was unworthy of the credit.
Samklef mocked others who may be envious of Davido’s success, hinting that they will criticize him for coming out.
