Eedris Abdulkareem has mocked Yorubas who voted for President Bola Tinubu.
The veteran rapper maintained that 21 years after releasing his controversial song ‘Jaga Jaga’, which satirised Nigeria’s deplorable living conditions, the country is still in ruin.
According to him, it is those people who voted for Tinubu that are suffering more.
He complained that things were getting worse, pointing out that the dollar’s exchange rate was about to reach N2,000.
He lamented the country’s hardships when appearing as a guest on a recent edition of The Honest Bunch Podcast, co-hosted by actor Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, alias Nedu, Deity Cole, and Husband Material.
Abdulkareem said:
“Nigeria still Jaga Jaga 21 years later. Hunger everywhere, people are dying. How will people survive when Dollar is N1600? Goodluck Jonathan left it N198. [Muhammadu] Buhari took it to N300, [Bola] Tinubu skyrocketed it to N1600.
“Dollar is going to N2000. So how do you want common people to survive in this country? Even the Yorubas they were shouting ‘Emilokan’, they are the ones dying of hunger now.”

Eedris Abdulkareem also alleged that American rapper 50 Cent and his crew “flogged and chased” numerous Nigerian singers, including P-Square, out of the backstage area during a Nigerian Breweries-organized event in 2004.
He stated that the event occurred on the first day of the performance at Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos.
In the current episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, Abdulkareem stated that when 50 Cent’s bouncers asked him to leave the backstage area, he refused.
The musician said that it needed the intervention of one of the organizers to avert an incident between him and the Americans.
He said:
“For the plane saga, it was the second day. A day before that time, we were at TBS at the backstage and when 50 Cent and his crew came backstage, they chased and flogged every Nigerian out of the backstage including P-Square.
“I just dey boil for where I dey. I was waiting for them to come and chase me. So, they finally came. When they came they asked me to leave that 50 Cent was coming. I said, ‘So what? Please, get the f*ck out of my face.’ They went to report me to one of the organisers and he told them to leave me alone. Na there the wahala for start, so they escaped that night.”
Abdulkareem further claimed that Charly Boy deceived him by taking a payment from Nigerian Breweries to erase proof of 50 Cent’s team abusing him during the plane incident.
He said Charly Boy restricted him following the event.
“DJ Tee recorded everything that happened between me and 50 Cent’s crew on the plane but Charly Boy took the tape and used it to negotiate with Nigerian Breweries. The bastard blacklisted me,” he said.
