Nigeran actress and filmmaker, Mercy Aigbe has raised alarm over hardship and hunger in the country.
She took to her Instagram page to call the attention of Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu to the predicament of Nigerians.
Aigbe begged Seyi to talk to his father to find a solution to the problem.
She wrote: ‘’People are hungry! People are dying! People are going out of their minds!
The present situation of the country is TERRIBLE! The government should please, please we are begging, they should do something about this economic hardship!

In other news, Nigerian socialite and political commentator, Isaac Fayose has made a claim against Nigerian women.
Isaac who is the younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose alleged that Nigerian women are the cause of naira depreciation against the dollar.
According to him, the reason is that women are now demanding dollars from men.
The statement comes as the naira reached its lowest in years by exchanging N1,435 to a dollar at the official foreign exchange market two days ago.
Speaking in an interview with Arise TV, he argued that the government must start taxing women undergoing Brazilian B**t Lift (BBL) and tummy tuck surgeries if the situation must be arrested.
He said:
“When you look around and see the situation, you can see a lot of single ladies in Nigeria and when you look around the world, it is not like that. They say God is love, how did we arrive here?
“No money, no honey. That is so bad, even the guys in Nigeria right now are marrying at the age of 45, 46, 50. I am 51 and I am already a grandfather because my son is 25, he grew up in the UK where money is not the issue, love is the issue.
“The women are now the ones killing all our brothers and uncles because you do not have money. Prostate cancer is on the rise, now you see all of them doing stomach, doing b****m, I have told President Tinubu that we have to start taxing them because they are the ones keeping the dollar.“You see the dollar crisis we have now when you go out and meet a girl, she will not ask you for naira again, she will ask you for dollars. They are the ones causing dollar crisis in Nigeria. Right now as we speak with you, you can see how the country is going.
“I have a friend who said he is getting married at 46. I said at 46 I already had five children, what are you waiting for? He asked who would answer him if he did not have money. You can see what they are doing to us, I am not saying you should not take care of your wife, but they should take it easy on us. It is getting too high.”
