Nigerian billionaire businessman, Emeka Okonkwo, also known as E-money, has committed to support the three sons of the late actor, Jnr Pope, who tragically lost his life in a boat accident.

It is worth noting that Jnr Pope had recorded a video before the accident, pleading with the boat driver to exercise caution and reduce speed, as he was the sole provider for his sons. Unfortunately, he did not survive the accident, leaving behind a wife and three young children.

E-money has taken to Instagram to assure that he will take on the responsibility of caring for Jnr Pope’s children, treating them as his sons.

In his words;

“It has been one week since you departed from this world, leaving behind a profound sense of loss that reverberates not only among us but also across Africa and beyond. Your presence, as both a friend and a brother, is deeply missed, JP.

The weight of your absence bears heavily upon our hearts, yet we draw comfort from the belief that God will grant us the resilience to carry forward and uphold the legacy you’ve entrusted to us.

We tenderly remember your final words on the boat, “NA ONLY ME DEM BORN I GET 3 CHILDREN NA ME GO RAISE THEM,” and we solemnly commit to honoring that vow. Your children now find solace in the embrace of the Okonkwo family, and we, as members of that family, pledge to nurture them as you would have wished.

Your absence leaves a palpable void, JP, and your memory will forever be held dear. Rest peacefully, knowing that you are deeply cherished, and may God’s blessings encompass your soul, your family, and all who hold you in their hearts. 🙏”

In the wake of actor Junior Pope’s tragic death, which occurred as a result of a boating accident while returning from a movie set, the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has taken decisive action.

The AGN President, Emeka Rollas, has issued a statement announcing the suspension of all movies involving riverine areas and boat riding across the country.

Additionally, Rollas has prohibited all actors from participating in any movie produced by Adamma Luke.

Adamma Luke is the producer of the movie in which Junior Pope was featured before his untimely demise. On Wednesday, April 10, Junior Pope and four other crew members were involved in an accident while riding on a boat, leaving the movie location.

Tragically, Junior Pope and one other crew member, identified as Friday, have been confirmed dead, while the bodies of the remaining three crew members are still missing.

Furthermore, the AGN has declared that there will be no shooting in movie locations worldwide on Thursday, April 10, as a mark of respect. The movie “The Other Side Of Life,” produced by Adamma Luke, has also been suspended until further notice.
